4 tips to travel in a healthy way


Holidays are coming up !! It is important not to drop your healthy lifestyle when you travel. Here are 4 tips to make the most of your journey and remain in good shape.

1 . Keep yourself hydrated.

To drink some water throughout the day is essential. It is the first thing you have to keep in mind when you travel, especially when travelling by plane because the humidity inside the cabin is lower than the normal.

The dehydration can cause headaches, fatigue and many other problems. If you go in for sport during your journey or visit a wet country and hot, think of drinking some more of water that usually.

2 . Take a healthy snack with you.

Just take a piece of fruit, your own mixture of granola and/or a bar of dried fruits with low content in sugar. These healthy meals will help you pass through the hunger and will prevent you from eating cakes, chocolate bars or french fries of the first fastfood come on the way.

Enjoy your meals in a nice local restaurant, rather than eating manufactured food that you will find at the airport, train station or and gas station. Another advice which will prevent you from eating fast food is to eat a proper healthy meal rich in proteins before leaving your house.

3. Stay actif on a daily basis during your trip.

With or without a map, get lost, find yourself. Rely on your senses and enjoy the landscapes, the smells and sounds that surround you. Get off the beaten track. It is an excellent way to discover what is not shown in the tourist guides.

If you stay in the hotel, think of the gym. Or still, swim in the sea, go hiking and any kind of exercice that will make your trip even more enjoyable. Avoid engines, go cycling, do paddle, kayak…

4. Reconnect with yourself by staying disconnected.

Forget about the watch and the alarm clock and follow your circadian rhythm. Take up with your natural cycle. Open yourself to others and test new experiences by meeting people around you.
