An easy way to relax

Having time to relax through meditation, yoga, walking in the nature, etc… is a luxury and we can not dedicate 2 to 3 hours daily to their practice. Nevertheless, we are faced with quotidian stress and its accumulation in our system can start deteriorate our health and energy.

A simple way to relax and de-contract our muscles is through a single cycle of breath. Close your eyes, from the belly start having a deep but peaceful inhale of 6 counts. Pause. Then exhale for 6 counts. Pause. Be conscious of the quality of your breathing, the sensation of the air entering and exiting. Become aware of the journey the air takes inside your body, its path in and out. Feel your whole system expanding and contracting. When you open your eyes, you have an immense feeling of peace and calmness. One cycle of breath is enough to create a new departure in the present moment.
