Create balance

It is often a struggle to balance private and professional life. The push and pull and, sometimes the sense of guilt, deplete our energy. We might believe there is no choice and pressing forward is the only possibility. This is a recipe for disaster as it is impossible to keep the cord in tension. It will result in burnout, feeling of failure and extreme tiredness.

In order to create balance in our life, the first step is to create a balance within ourselves. Inner balance will create self awareness and self worth. Little changes have long lasting beneficial habits.

For example spending at least 30 minutes each day taking care of our health. If time is short, an alternation between physical exercise and meditation is truly rejuvenating. Eating consciously at least one meal a day by taking the time to taste the meal and being present in the act of eating will create the necessary gap between us and our thoughts. The result is a more relaxed and open body. Habits are like muscles, the more we exercise them, the more we see their rewarding results.

Once an inner balance achieved, it is easier to tackle the balance between private and professional life.
